We've created this space to feel warm, cozy, and a little bit fun — like a home away from home where you can truly relax and enjoy yourself. We love hosting and making sure our guests feel comfortable, whether that means sharing local favorites or just giving you the perfect spot to unwind.

House Rules
Please Review Before Your Stay
No smoking or vaping inside. Outdoor smoking is fine — please dispose of butts in trash.
Illegal drugs are prohibited on the property.
No parties. Please keep noise to a minimum and respect our neighbors.
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
No fireworks or guns.
Septic system: only toilet paper may be flushed. No flushable wipes, feminine hygiene products, etc.
Drains: no cooking oils, fats, grease, or coffee grounds. Discard all food debris in the trash.
Place all trash in bags before putting in the outdoor trash bin. No loose trash.
Trash pickup is Tuesday morning. Remove bins from the shed and place on curb by Monday evening.
Pets are welcome on the main level only — please keep them off the upstairs carpeted area.
No boats or trailers.
Firewood is NOT provided. Please bring your own if using the fire pit.
When exploring the property, stay on the mowed path. Stay out of tall grasses — this is active agricultural land.
Exterior security cameras are located at the front door, deck facing the barn, garage facing the driveway, and the entry walking up the stairs.

🔥 Fire Pit
Fire pit is available for your use. Firewood is not provided — please bring your own. Keep the area clear and never leave a fire unattended.
🌾 Property Grounds
Feel free to explore the property — please stay on the mowed paths. The surrounding land is active agricultural farmland; stay out of the tall grasses for your safety.
🐾 Pets
Pets are welcome and can enjoy the outdoor areas freely. Inside, please keep pets on the main level only — the upstairs carpeted area is off-limits for pets.

What's in the Pond

- Private property — fishing and pedal boat usage is for registered guests only.
- Fishing poles, lures, and bait are not provided. Please bring your own.
- Fishing is catch and release only.
- Fishing and pedal boating are at your own risk. The homeowner is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or lost personal property.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Life vests must be worn while on the pedal boat.
- Do not throw trash or foreign objects into the pond.

Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory
A non-profit sanctuary and educational center committed to the care and preservation of endangered predator species — big cats including lions, tigers, and leopards. A unique experience unlike anything else in the KC area.
Louisburg Cider Mill
A third-generation, family-owned business that started as a roadside stand in 1977. The Country Store is open year-round and features their signature ciders, treats, and handpicked goods and gifts.
Hillsdale Lake
Extensive outdoor recreation — fishing for bass and crappie, boating, and swimming at designated beaches.
Somerset Schoolhouse
A 1920s schoolhouse renovated into a Home & Gift Boutique, Speakeasy & Cafe. TV, firepit, cornhole, horseshoes, and live music on the patio.
Lake Miola Park (Paola)
A 200-acre lake at the north edge of Paola offering boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing.
Louisburg Lake
A high-quality sport fishing lake in Louisburg with largemouth bass, saugeye, white bass, wiper, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. Facilities include a double boat ramp and picnic tables.
Louisburg Aquatic Center
Seasonal outdoor pool with zero-depth entry, spray fountains, 3 slides, and a diving board. Daily admission $4. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Check-Out — 11:00 AM
Before you go, please complete the following:
- Place used towels in the provided laundry basket.
- Wash any used dishes and put them away. You may leave the last load running in the dishwasher.
- Please leave the used beds unmade.
- Make sure the home is picked up and counters are wiped off.
- Take out trash and place bags in the trash cans at the end of the driveway.
- Double-check drawers and outlets for personal items.
- Make sure all windows are shut and lights are turned off.
- Lock the door behind you using the keypad — just press the lock symbol.
- If your stay ends on a Monday: remove trash cans from the storage shed and place them on the edge of the road for Tuesday pickup.
- If you changed the thermostat setting, please return it to 68°.
